This external tooth lock washer is a stamped circular washer with locking teeth that extend outward. This is the most preferred type of lock washer as the teeth offer the greatest locking hold. Tooth style lock washers have a tendency to mar a soft mating surface and should not be used in polished stainless, chrome or decorative finishes. Use with nuts and bolts of the same material for proper installation.
