Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) is an unthreaded steel thin-wall raceway of circular cross section designed for the physical protection and routing of conductors and cables. It qualifies as an equipment grounding conductor when installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code and utilizing appropriate fittings. Can be used in Class II, Division 2 and Class III, Division 1, locations where the fittings are dust-tight.
